DESCRIPTION:Winter Solstice\, or Yule\, is seen as the time of greatest dar
 kness\, as the longest night of the year\, and also as the time of the bir
 th of a “Divine King”. Since the Sun is considered to represent the Ma
 le Divinity in many traditions\, this time is celebrated as the “return 
 of the Sun God” where he is reborn of the Goddess. From this day forth t
 he days will become longer and the nights will begin to shorten\, hence\, 
 the Sun God is born on Winter Solstice\, and will grow in strength to brin
 g us the growing season.\n\nThe evening ends with an opportunity to social
 ise. Participants are welcome to bring a plate of finger food to share. Te
