The Importance Of Balancing Our Chakras

Chakras are centres of energy within our bodies which have both a physical and an emotional effect on our internal systems. Knowing that each chakra can have quite a profound influence on our physical and emotional well being alerts us to the fact that we should regularly cleanse and balance them. There are 10 main chakras; Earth Star, Root (or Base), Sacral (or Navel), Solar Plexus, Heart, Thymus (or High Heart), Throat, Third Eye (or Brow), Crown and Soul Star. Let’s just take one, the Heart chakra, as an example of how they work. This chakra is seen as green and/or pink and as a very brief description, deals with all matters of the heart and emotions. On a physical level it can affect the heart, lungs, bronchial tubes, upper back, circulation and skin to name just a few.

Chakras absorb the ins and outs of our day to day lives and all our emotional reactions to people, situations, events. If we process those emotions, learn and move on in a healthy way then the chakra will continue to operate smoothly and efficiently. If however, we get overwhelmed and find it difficult to see through the present energy to the future, then our chakra can become blocked and heavy and prevent us from operating to our full potential. One ineffective chakra will affect the others in turn and before we realise it, our whole system is thrown out of balance resulting in emotional distress and at times, may even contribute to or cause physical ailments related to the affected chakra.

So how do we go about cleansing and balancing our chakra system? We won’t know how an unhealthy chakra feels until we know what a healthy chakra feels like so the first step is to learn exactly what each chakra is and its function. Getting to know how our systems work and how they feel is the quickest and easiest way to be alerted to any imbalance in the present or future. During this course we discuss in detail how to connect, cleanse and re-balance our internal energy system and several ways of doing this are demonstrated.

Meditation and visualisation are very effective ways of getting in touch with our inner selves and cleansing any blocks in our emotional development. Using crystals is probably one of the most enjoyable ways to connect with and ‘feel’ the energy of our chakras. Every individual crystal has its own personality and energetic vibration and by matching that energy to the energy of the chakra is enormously beneficial in clearing blocked vibrations and returning the energy to its intended state. Drinking mixed or single crystal charged elixirs, using skin and hair tonics and using energy cleansing sprays can all help to bring zest and vitality back to our internal systems.

So if you are feeling a little jaded and out of sorts, maybe feeling the effects of a cold winter season or suffering stress from your everyday life, why not spend some time connecting with your own chakra system and giving it a spring clean so it can operate at 100%. It’s easy to say we don’t have time or to keep putting it off till next week or next month, but just think how you will benefit from that extra energy boost and emotional well being.
