The Sabbat of Litha: Make a Love Amulet to connect

Through this ‘Sabbat of Litha Workshop’, delve further into the meaning behind the Sabbat and some traditions and correspondences connected to this Summer festival. Connect creatively and practically with this sabbat by making a love amulet. A very special amulet that you will treasure for much time to come, connecting you with the energy of self-love and appreciation. Connect with the Goddess Aphrodite in the creation of your love amulet and also through meditation.
The eight Sabbats of a Witch represent the turning of the Wheel of the year and honour not only the current season but also the stages in the eternal life cycle of the Goddess and God. Litha, or Summer Solstice, is a Witches’ Sabbat that falls on the day we experience the longest day/shortest night of the year. At the peak of Nature’s power, the Earth is awash with the fertility of the God and Goddess. It is particularly a celebration of the God, especially in his aspect as the Sun God, who has reached the height of his power at this time. Summer Solstice is considered a fire festival partly for this reason. It is a time of fertility and a time for the working of strong magick, having a belief that the innate power of herbs is strongest on this day.

About Your Facilitator
Raylee
Raylee Pandur has always had a fascination for Witchcraft and believed she was a witch from a very young age. As a child she spent much time searching books for mention of witches marks like palm crosses and specially placed skin blemishes. With her heightened intuition and feeling different to her friends she ventured in to the world of magick quietly and secretly as she was too fearful of openly embracing it. However, she is now fully immersed in the Mystical Dragon community and loves practising everything she has learnt during and beyond the Embracing Witchcraft Program. Raylee finds it a blessing to now be able to participate in Mystical Dragon not just as a perpetual student but as a teacher too!
