Sigils: Powerful Symbols to Aid Magickal Workings
Sigils are powerful magickal symbols used to aid our manifesting and magickal workings. Explore contemporary sigil magick, from what it can be used for, how to activate and charge a sigil, what materials to use and even how to create a unique sigil for any intent.
Historically, the term ‘sigil’ referred to a type of pictorial signature of an angel, daemon, or spirit. The understanding of its use could grant a witch some control over that being. More contemporary sigil crafting does not call on a spirit in this way. Instead, we charge a symbol with our intention and use it to help manifest our desired outcome.
To do this we can use known magickal symbols, or we can create our own from scratch, which can also hold a lot of energy.

Amanda
Amanda Godfrey is the founder of Mystical Dragon and a White Witch who currently practises as a solitary witch. She has studied witchcraft extensively and been a practitioner of it for over 25 years. Previously a High Priestess of a Coven, she now leads Mystical Dragon’s Open Circles. Amanda has developed and taught many workshops and courses on witchcraft.
