This Black Brass Altar Bell with Gold Pentacle etched on the side would make an ideal addition to any altar. The bell stands approx 13cm tall and has a very simple handle. Would make an excellent gift for someone starting on their spiritual journey.
Altar bells have a number of uses:
- An altar bell can be used to clear a space.
- On Samhain people are said to ring bells to banish evil spirits as the dark spirits do not like to be near the beautiful sound of bells.
- When finishing a spell bells can be rung to seal in the magic.
- In many cultures people ring bells at Yule as a sign that the darkness is ending and the sun is returning.
