A Brief History of Crystal Magick

From the time of the Aztec and the Inca, and possibly even longer, precious stones have been extracted to be worn, admired and used in medicine and magick. Today, five thousand years of crystal magick is at our fingertips. Crystals can be used in magick when you want to operate on the deeper levels of reality. It is rare that an issue will only affect you on a simple physical plane. For example, the need for a better job can seem a purely materialistic consideration, but can also affect you emotionally, especially if you are looking for an activity which improves your connection with people or where you can expand more on a heart level. It can affect you spiritually, where your need for a different job would be the expression of a much deeper need for a change in the direction of your life, or maybe a cycle of experiences has come to an end for you, and you are starting a new one and the change of job is an outward expression of this profound need.

Much in our lives affects us in this way, on multiple levels, and crystal magick can help! It does not always have to be on radical life changes, but can also assist with changes in perspective on different issues, in deep healing processes and in deepening our understanding of issues. Sceptics say it’s our minds. Those that work with magick say yes, that is part of it, but it’s also the crystals, in the way we use these treasures and in our connection with the Earth.
